Research's domains
Laboratory of kinesiology.
The main topic of the laboratory concerns the understanding of human movement disorders and improving the management of these disorders. A translational research is conducted from basic science to
clinical applications with an emphasis on locomotor activities (walking, balance and chair rise). Around this issue, three main approaches are developed:
1 ) Understand movement disorders The objective is to better understand the origin of movement disorders observed in humans 2) Predicting movement disorders and their evolution. The objectives are to discover alterations of movement according to the characteristics of the individuals, to predict the evolution of certain pathologies using movement as a biomarker and predict the changes induced by treatment. 3 ) Identify and evaluate new therapeutic solutions The objective is to identify and evaluate new therapeutic solutions to prevent, reduce or eliminate movement disorders, but also with the aim of understanding the mechanisms of action of the therapeutic solutions.
