Imagerie Médicale (TEP et TEMP)
Notre objectif est de développer des techniques de reconstruction d'image, des outils de modélisation et simulation, des techniques robustes de correction des effets d¿atténuation et de rayonnement
diffusé pour la tomographie par émission de positons (TEP) et la tomographie d'émission de simple photons (TEMP), aussi bien que l'évaluation de nouvelles conceptions possibles des modules de
détection TEP en utilisant des techniques sophistiquées de simulation par la méthode de Monte Carlo. Nous sommes particulièrement intéressés à l'amélioration de la qualité et la quantification des images de
médecine nucléaire, et l'analyse statistique de différents algorithmes de reconstruction et correction des effets d'atténuation et de rayonnement diffusé. Un vif intérêt a récemment surgit dans le
domaine de la neuroimagerie pour stimuler les différents groupes actifs dans le domaine dans la région lémanique. Dans cette direction, nous sommes particulièrement intéressés par des protocoles
d'activation cérébrale en utilisant la technologie TEP (15O-H2O) et 99mTc-HMPAO (TEMP) pour étudier la fonction du cerveau en particulier dans la mémoire et le vieillissement cognitif. Plus récemment, nous
avons été impliqués dans un nouveau projet de conceptions de tomographes TEP dans le cadre de la collaboration CIMA pour développer un TEP haute résolution dédiée pour la recherche sur le cerveau en
collaboration avec le CERN.
